Jeane Marie (Rears) Kuhlmann, daughter of Amel F. and Ruby L. (Caskey) Rears was born at home near Stella, Nebraska on March 14, 1922. She attended North Star rural school District 101 and lived with her parents until she began teaching in rural schools in Southeast Nebraska.
